happy aidiladha eid!!

Selamat Hari Raya aidiladha...
hari ni aku balik kg dgn family, dekat kuala kangsar bandar diraja. maklumlah, hari raya ni kalau tak sambut kat kg mmg x cukup syarat. sampai2 je kat kg, dh nampak ayh min dgn ayh jun bwk keluar daging korban. dapat bhgn paha pulak tu, mak aih, terkejut gak masa mula2 tengok tu.

then after jumaat prayers, the 'operation' begin. buat apa lagi, lapah daging korban la. huhu first, it's the guys job to to do all the nasty works. potong kaki kerbau tu!! mmg kejam gler la, siap guna gergaji, parang, pisau (nasib baik x de tukul besi jer kat situ) finally, dpt gak kerat kaki kerbau tu..huhu, mcm kejam jer kan bunyinya. apis (my elder brother) dh awal2 cop bhgn tu, nak buat sup gear box katanya.

pastu pe lagi, sampai lah glrn yg lemah lembut ni melapah daging kerbau.(of course i chose the easy chores!) mmg best lar. byk btol daging tp nak agih2 kan utk satu family bhgn mak. hmm, blom habis lapah lg dah mcm2 idea keluar nak masak daging tu. at last, we decide tu make nasi daging and sup 'gear box' as my brother wished. ye lah penat2 dah dia potong kaki kerbau td.



habis melapah dgg, ternampak lar pulak rambutan yg merah2 kat luar rumah opah 2. pe lg "pah, ade pengait x?". huhu, dpt jer pengait tros mulakan projek. hmm, honestly, aku mmg fail bab2 mengait rambutan ni. adelah 5 biji jer yg jatuh, yg lain tu daun jer lebih. mula2 kteorg adik-beradik jer, lpas tu habis mak ngan pak cik join skali. mmg best, mcm2 gaya ade. last skali dpt lar 3 besen rambutan. manis tak terkata!

malam tu, dinner dengan nasi daging and sup gear box. tapi syg nyer aku x lalu nak mkn sup gear box tu sdgkan dua org hero 2 (abg ngan adik) berselera sungguh menyedut guna straw..never mind, i'll pass. x rasa nak cuba pun. anyway, we chat and have a good laugh together. lps tu tgk Nur Kasih episod akhir. habis nur kasih tros berangkat balik ke ipoh, siap bwk bekal lg; kuih siput dng tempoyak.

hmmmm...next project utk cuti nie will be kelas memasak tempoyak dgn mak.huh can't wait!!

what i learned in O&G ward

hmm, masa mula2 posting dekat ward bersalin, mmg bosan sebab xda prosedure yang bley buat selain bed making, vital signs dan bantu pesakit dalam 14 ADL. bosan, balik2 baca BHT. tapi, semasa posting dekat wad gynae mggu lepas, ada sikit perubahan.
it all started when the ward sister called upon us after we followed grand rounds by doctors. she came up to us and ask, ' had u learned about breast feeding?'. at that time there was only me and joanne and we said yes. then the sister said, ' good, now lets teach this mother on breast feeding.'
before i continue, let me clear out some facts. do we know about breast feeding? YES. are we well informed on the physiology and hormonal process involve? YES. had we ever taught anyone about breast feeding? NO.



So at that time, I'm scared that the sister will ask me to do the teaching. luckily, we only observe her. To be honest, I really respect this person. she taught the mother so well, from the technique of holding the baby, how to store the pump milk, everything she said was like what i've read in the books. and more importantly, she clears out all doubts and anxiety that worries the mother. then she look up to us, 'ok now u can do so to every new mothers admitted here.'


hey, now i got something to do in the ward rather than reading never ending BHTs! and so i try to apply what i had learned from the sister. this patient was having her first child and the child is premature. i approach her and ask her whether she know about breast feeding and inform her that i me n my clique will be teaching her on breast feeding. i explained to her that premature baby is prone to get jaundice and by giving breast feeding, it can reduce the possibilty. she responded well.
i teach her according to what i had learned previously and she listen with much interest. everything was going well until she applies what i taught. she looks awkward since it was her first time. however she tried her best without giving up. i was very touched to see her determination.eventhough her baby did not respond very well, she keep prompting her baby to start suckling.
i said to her, its ok, but you must keep trying and she nod. when i saw her next day, she still trying to give breast feeding without giving up.
eventually, it was my last day in the ward and this patient is waiting to be discharge. i really hope that she will practice the knowledge that i gave her. hmm, finally, there is something that i can contribute during this 1 week posting in gynae ward.

exam dah dekat, bila aku nak sedar diri ni?

entah lah, sejak masuk U aku dah jd makin malas. malas nak study,walaupun exam dah nak dekat. sekarang ni sibuk layan drama jepun ryuusei no kizuna. dah addicted. best sgt cerita tu, sampai nak tgok byk2 kali! tu belum masuk lg demam ARASHI. haha, x habis2 aku dgr lagu diorg. mmg best sangat2, 2 thumbs up!! sambil menaip assignment nie bley layan lar, sampai hilang ngantuk. buktinya, sekarang dah pukul 4.30 pg and i'm still fresh and alert walaupun bru balik posting ward. huhu nampaknye x yah depend dgn nescafe lg utk stay up. anyway, kalau ada masa, check out this group called arashi, their music is very fresh, upbeat, all of them are cute, sings very well and can act too!
huh, ok, assignment call. mesti siapkan cepat!
