Assalamualaikum..
Farewell dinner at Restoran Rebung...
All that begins must come to an end. the sad truth of life. After 4 years of joy, tears, sweat and laughter, now, we had reached the end of our roller coaster. Planned by small committee among the beloved classmate, here we are, at Rebung Restaurant...having our last dinner together as a group.
I'm not going down the memory lane just yet. It's a harsh reality to faced. Will talk about the event details some other time. Instead, fot the time being, let's just talk about the place where the memory was created.
This is Rebung restaurant, owned by Chef Ismail and Dr Sheikh Muzaphar (yup the astronaut-cum-doctor). Situated in Bangsar. The place usually cater for private event. With RM50, we were allowed to indulge ourselves with finger licking good cuisine in 3 hours. Yes, it offers buffet style of dinning, the kind with 'eat-all-you-can-until-you-can't' style.

The restaurant was actually a modified bungalow. So it does kinda feels like standing in front of someone's home when you stand at the entrance. Stepping inside the building, you'll be greeted by a totally different ambiance.
The interior design....

They have a mini stage and karaoke set if you feel like sharing your undiscovered talent in singing. If you choose to passively enjoy, there were employed singers to entertain you, so you can sit, relax and enjoy...
The cuisine....
There's just a lot to choose from. if you're are not a big eater like me, tasting a bit of everything might be the best strategy. For those who have a lot of space in their stomach...this should be a heaven for them. So...behold..this are among the variety choices of food fro you to try...
1. Starters..

going round the clock: spring roles, Roti jala, satay, and Pasembor.
Each of them taste great. The groundnut gravy taste fantastic for me. I personally enjoyed the Pasembor. yummy. The best thing is, you don't have to queue for satay. Their waiter will delivered it straight away to your table.
2. Appetizers..
Have your ABC's in your own style and preference.
3. Main course

my share of happiness..haha...see, the plate was signed by Chef Ismail's himself. Talking 'bout limited edition.
Please don't indulge yourself with all those yummy dishes just yet. Make a room for some BBQ'ued food. Grilled fish, lamb chop, and chicken wings are among the red hot menu. There's also western food offered such as mushroom soup with garlic bread, in case you re looking for something lighter.

There's variety of choice like caramel puding and others. Unfortunately, I forgot to taste any of the dessert offered. Was too occupy with taking pictures. -.-''' *sigh

one of my friend was having this. I have no clue what its called.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of every cuisine. Just remember, this is not a place to diet. Since you've paid rm 50, make sure you dine according to the equal amount. My taste buds was really pampered with all the choices offered. It's definitely a worthwhile dining experience.
Thumbs up :)
